You’re Not Alone Trying To Conceive

When you’re struggling to get pregnant, it can seem as though you’re all alone.  Often, women don’t feel comfortable talking with their friends and family about their infertility struggles.  Despite how empathetic people may be, a person doesn’t truly understand what it’s like to have trouble becoming pregnant unless they’ve been through it.

At New Hope, we understand that infertility affects more than your physical body.  We aim to address all of our patients’ needs, including their emotional well-being.  It is important to know that you are not alone in your fertility journey.  Your fertility care team is dedicated to working with you and treating you as an individual.   In addition to treating your physical body, we offer the following:

  • Support Groups – It is common to feel isolated during fertility treatment.  We offer support groups to allow you to meet and share with couples who are experiencing similar struggles.  Our support groups are led by Dr. Allison Rosen who is able to guide the discussion, answer questions and provide information about fertility treatment.   You will not be pushed to share or discuss anything with the group.  If you want to participate in the support group as an observer, that is ok.  The groups were designed to give you an opportunity to comfortably interact with people who understand what you’re going through on your own terms.
  • Yoga – We encourage our patients to use yoga to address both physical and emotional stress that can arise from fertility treatments.  Managing stress levels is key to successful outcomes.  Additionally, studies have shown that mediation and yoga can improve conception rates.  Participating in yoga classes also provides an opportunity to meet other women who are experiencing similar obstacles.

You are not alone in your journey to a healthy pregnancy and baby.  Our staff is available to help you during your fertility treatment as we believe every woman deserves the chance to become a mother.
